Hah. I have similar thoughts listening to NPR where people are calling in to complain that the government didn't attach enough strings to the bailout to the banks to force them to lend more money. Then they use phrases like "principle reduction" in reference to bankrupcy options. It sounds a lot better than "Give away money for free." even though that's what they're really asking for.
When is someone going to come on and say "Guess what, you don't ALL deserve your own house. You have to work your ass off and be financially responsible to EARN the luxury of owning your own home." Noone's saying that yet.
